This project features a beautifully crafted set of soft, goblet pleated valances for a farmhouse chic kitchen, designed to enhance both style and functionality. The valances were made from an embroidered stripe fabric, expertly used in the horizontal orientation to create a visually striking pattern that complements the room's rustic, yet refined aesthetic. The design was carefully tailored to highlight the fabric’s intricate embroidery while adding a touch of sophistication to the space.

The pleated valances were hung over the kitchen sink, paired with custom-finished wood rods and metal rings to achieve a harmonious balance between natural materials and industrial elements. The wood rods lend a warm, rustic touch, while the metal rings provide a modern contrast, resulting in a versatile, timeless look.

For light control and privacy, the window treatments were paired with unlined, natural woven shades. These shades allow the kitchen to stay bright and airy during the day, while still offering the necessary privacy and light filtration for the space.

Attention to detail was a key aspect of this project. The top of each valance was finished with a 1" binding of the same embroidered fabric, creating a clean, cohesive edge. The bottom edge was thoughtfully folded below the embroidered detail and finished with a flat welt in the same fabric, adding a polished, tailored appearance. The use of metal rings with a custom-finished smooth wood pole completed the look, ensuring a seamless integration of form and function.

This project demonstrates how thoughtful design and meticulous craftsmanship can transform a farmhouse kitchen, offering a perfect blend of elegance, warmth, and rustic charm.
